Don't forget all the accessories for contact lenses

With today's accessories for contact lenses, you can have fun with your contacts. The main category of accessories for contact lenses is the case.

Contact lens cases come in a few different styles. Flip top cases, screw top cases, and barrel cases. Cases come with googley eyes, sports themes, fun pictures, etc. These accessories for contact lenses can come with almost any design you can imagine.

A few ingenious lens wearers have come up with cases that count down the 2 week time period for replacing your lenses. Another great design is a lens case that separates the dirty solution from the clean solution.

For the high tech lens wearers, the lens so clean is like a washing machine for you lenses. Just plug it in and let it run. There is also the purilens system that cleans your lenses using UV light.

Another product of interest is contact lens hand soap. These soaps usually do a great job at removing grease from your hands. The big advantage of these soaps is they leave your hands clean of perfumes and oils without drying. Many of today's soaps have excess perfumes and moisturizers which can potentially contaminate your lenses. Optimum and Ocusoft are 2 very effective hand soaps.

For those who have trouble removing and/or inserting contact lenses, DMV makes contact lens insertion/removal devices for both soft and gas permeable lenses. Just be certain to receive proper instruction before using a lens remover.

Of course, contacts don't require any accessories while you are wearing them. Unless you consider an occasional rewetting drop an accessory.
